International Vocal Contest
Laima Vaikule and the Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala festival invite talents from around the world to take part in the international vocal contest Laima Voice. Grand prize — a chance to perform on the same stage with the stars at Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala in 2027.
About Laima Voice
Laima Voice is a vocal contest for talented singers who want to be seen, heard, and discovered. The contest gives young and emerging performers the opportunity to present themselves, take part in casting, and potentially become part of a wider musical event in Jurmala.
The first edition took place online five years ago, during the Covid period. Now the project is being relaunched with a new live format, bringing the contest to the heart of the Laima Rendezvous Jurmala festival.
How It Works
Three stages to the main stage
Post a video of your vocal performance on Instagram with #laimavoice2026 by July 12, 2026. Open to everyone regardless of age or country.
July 25, 2026 in Jurmala during the Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala festival. Selected participants are invited personally via Instagram DM. Entry fee: 70€.
Finalists meet Laima Vaikule personally online in September. She gives vocal challenges throughout the year and chooses the winner. Grand Prize — perform on stage at Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2027.

First Laima Voice Edition
The first Laima Voice contest took place online five years ago, during the Covid period. It brought together young voices, online performances and international attention. This page will later include photos, videos and memories from the first edition.

Children's Creative Camp
Alongside Laima Voice, a children's creative camp "Jurmala Junior" will also take place in Jurmala. It is a separate program with its own application process, created for children and young talents who want to experience music, creativity and festival atmosphere.
